The song "I'd Rather Die Than Be Famous" from this album was featured in the game Tony Hawk's Proving Ground. Soon after, Pierce the Veil acquired new members Tony Perry (guitar) and Jaime Preciado (bass). The brothers released the album A Flair for the Dramatic on Junder a new name: Pierce the Veil, which is derived from two songs from Before Today's album, 'A Celebration of an Ending'&'A Giant Purple Fox of Fright'. Still backed by their label, Equal Vision Records, they wrote and recorded an entire album on their own in Seattle, WA with Producer Casey Bates. A fter the disbandment of Before Today, t he brothers continued to write songs together and eventually came up with enough material for a new full-length album. They released an album under the new name in 2004, but the group disbanded after the departure of Joe Tancil (guitar) and Mitchell Ballatore (bass). After releasing an album and 2 EP's, they changed their name to Before Today due to copyright issues. Vic and Mike Fuentes started their first band, Early Times, in 1998.
Their third and latest album, Collide with the Sky, was released in 2012, and is their first album under the major record label Fearless Records. The band released their second full-length studio album, titled Selfish Machines] in 2010. Pierce the Veil has released three studio albums and has continuously been inducted into several worldwide tours since the release of their debut album, A Flair for the Dramatic in 2007. Other members of the band include Jaime Preciado (bassist and backing vocals) and Tony Perry (lead guitar). The album peaked at a career-best #4 on the Billboard 200 and includes the singles 'The Divine Zero' and 'Circles'.
Pierce The Veil released their fourth studio album 'Misadventures' on May 13th, 2016 via Fearless Records. During the tour, Pierce The Veil will be making festival appearances at 98 Rockfest, Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, 89.7 The River's Rockfest, Rock on the Range and Rocklahoma. Joining the new tour will be special guests Sum 41, Emarosa and Chapel. Following their Rest In Space Tour, the band will begin their We Will Detonate! tour with back-to-back shows in Denver on April 21-22 followed by stops in Tampa, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Houston and Dallas among others. Post-hardcore outfit Pierce The Veil will be hitting the road again for another spring 2017 tour across America supporting their latest album 'Misadventures'.
